Know your rights: a demonstration workshop with Rote Hilfe Wien
ORGANISED IN COLLABORATION WITH: Rote Hilfe Wien
What do I need to bear in mind when taking part in a political demonstration or rally? What should I take with me, and what is best left at home? What are support groups? How should I behave towards the police?
As part of our workshop with Rote Hilfe Wien, we’ll take an in-depth look at everything to do with demonstrations: from the packing list and the likely course of events to the ‘right’ way to behave if approached by the police. Together, we’ll explore how to protect ourselves and others in a demonstration context and what solidarity looks like in the event of an arrest. Through expert guidance, we’ll clarify what rights you have, what the police are allowed to do and what they’re not. Solidarity is our weapon!
